Indexing, photography and other special projects: Take photographs of tombstones at cemeteries, memorial plaques at synagogues, or pages of historic books. Index data from the images. Organize information on the computer to prepare it for adding to our website. Work with other members to organize other projects of interest. JGSI can take on as many special projects as there are volunteers to implement them. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Technical helpers: Help with database, website and/or zoom management. Email email@example.com.
Programs: Facilitate a discussion, speak at a future event, or plan future programs. Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Post pandemic times:
JGSI Library: Volunteer in our library by cataloging books, organizing journals and vertical files, or helping patrons. The library is open from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm (prior to the presentation) as part of our monthly meetings. Please email Library@jgsi.org.
Rides Needed: To provide or receive a ride to a monthly meeting, contact 312-666-0100.
Hospitality: Set up refreshments. Greet and register attendees at monthly meetings. Pass out handouts and feedback sheets. Collect feedback sheets. Please email email@example.com
