This 7:30 p.m. Central Time Zoom session is for JGSI members only.
AI Is Already in Your Genealogy Tools: How Should We Use the Results?
Artificial intelligence is increasingly being incorporated into genealogy websites, software, and research tools. This members-only discussion will focus on how genealogists should evaluate the results these tools produce.
Participants are encouraged to share questions, experiences, or examples of AI-assisted results they have encountered. We may also look at selected tools and features that are currently available to many researchers. This will not be a comprehensive survey or a technical how-to class. Instead, we will discuss when an AI-generated result may be a useful clue, when it may be misleading, and what additional review or evidence may be needed before relying on it.
Questions and examples may be sent in advance to aidiscussions@jgsi.org.
